Keeping up your winter commute, but looking for a little more hand comfort when the mercury drops?

Pogies (also called bar mitts) are there to provide extra insulation, a wind shield, and protection from the elements. If your winter gloves aren’t cutting it, or if you want the option to wear lighter gloves on cold days for easier better dexterity, they are game-changing.

Lightweight soft-shell fabric throughout with a weather-resistant outer and soft, cozy fleece inner lining. Inner lining is made up of Far-Infrared Yarn, a high-performance polyester fiber with the function of accumulating heat and maintaining warmth. This model is lighter-weight than many - offering great versatility for DC’s generally mild winters.

These attach securely with expanding bar-end plugs. For flat-bar bikes only.

If you’d like a drop-bar set: email Leah@upshiftdc.com for a special order!

Leah says:

My hands run on the colder side, and I use them on my e-bike at these temperature ranges:
- Milder days (45-60ºF) without gloves
- Colder days (32-45ºF) with lightweight full-finger gloves or liners.
- For sub-freezing temperatures, they greatly boost the effectiveness of thermal winter gloves and help prevent hand numbness.

On a normal analog bike at these temperature ranges:
- Milder days (37-50ºF) without gloves
- Colder days (20-40ºF) with lightweight full-finger gloves or liners.

- For sub-freezing temperatures, they greatly boost the effectiveness of thermal winter gloves and help prevent hand numbness.
